Abstract

The article describes the case of a 40-year-old man diagnosed to have pseudochylothorax or cholesterol pleural effusion. Topics include the patient's medical history and symptoms upon admission, the clinical features of cholesterol crystals found in his pleural fluid, and the treatments administered to the man. Also discussed are the differences between chylous and pseudochylous effusions.
