Abstract

The article comments on a study which showed that both total testosterone (tT) and calculated free testosterone (c-fT) showed a small but significant correlation with laboratory measures of hematopoiesis. Topics include reason that testosterone bioavailability (BT) levels are not recommended for clinical decision-making, correlation coefficients of hematopoietic markers versus serum testosterone, and factors affecting the relationship between complete blood count (CBC) and serum testosterone.
