The "Review of Radical Political Economics" is publishing a two-part special issue in memory of David Gordon. David was a political activist, a labor educator and a teacher. The articles presented in the special issue reflect his wide-ranging legacy and commitment to social justice. Jane Holtz Kay, architecture critic for "The Nation," and author of "Asphalt Nation: How the Automobile Took Over America and How We can Take It Back," will be in the Los Angeles, California, area during June 2-4, 1999 to discuss the car's contribution to sprawl, environmental degradation and social inequity.
