Abstract
- In this study, the construction of a highly negatively charged layered material [CH<subscript>3</subscript>CH<subscript>2</subscript>NH<subscript>3</subscript>]<subscript>6</subscript>In<subscript>6</subscript>S<subscript>12</subscript> (InS-1) by introducing a lacunary cluster as the building block is reported. The pronounced framework negative charge density (5.59 × 10<superscript>−3</superscript>) and the soft Lewis basic S component endow InS-1 with an effective ion exchange performance toward heavier Sr<superscript>2+</superscript>, with a top-level adsorption capacity q<subscript>m</subscript> of 105.35 mg g<superscript>−1</superscript>. InS-1 exhibits a good exchange activity over pH 3–12, and the Sr<superscript>2+</superscript>-laden product can be facilely eluted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
