Abstract
- The authors discuss pericardial drain removal after atrial fibrillation ablation. Topics mentioned include percutaneous pericardiocentesis combined with protamine reversal of systemic heparinization, addition of 4-factor prothrombin complex concentrate in patients undergoing catheter ablation with uninterrupted factor Xa inhibition, and fear of rebleeding and reaccumulation of pericardial fluid necessitating repeat pericardiocentesis.
