Abstract

Cinema has strong influential role in our society. It provides a platform to present all incidents and accidents, which are happening around the globe. Trends of cinema are also changing now a day. Realistic approaches with the sense of social responsibility in cinema are getting better and better, which plays a major role in the reformation and rehabilitation of society. Portraying socio- political issues like Bhopal gas tragedy on a 70 mm curtain is such a big challenge because these films are not in the list of mere entertainers. Somehow they try to educate and aware the masses. It helps to form a public opinion and become a tool of change in social -- political transformation and mass enlightenment. This research paper is a content analysis of all those film, which is based on the world's worst industrial disasters. It deals with the fact as to how Bollywood cinemas is changing in terms of its issues and make themselves as socio-realistic research based cinema.
