- The article presents alcohol and its role playing in decreasing in the life expectancy in the United States. Topics include article discussing on underestimating the effects of alcohol use causing death; quantifying alcohol mortality via epidemiological methods of estimating population-attributable fractions; and the potential interaction between alcohol use and socioeconomic status in causing premature mortality.
