The scanty musical literature of England has been much enriched lately by new publications, which show that an interest in the cultivation of the science is gradually increasing, and with it the number of purchasers for books on the subject. The publishers of the Globe edition of "Shakespeare's Complete Works," Macmillan & Co. announce that the sale has exceeded fifty thousand copies.
