Abstract
- The article provides information related to books and their publishing. The oldest literary property in England is now in the market. The proprietor of "Gentleman's Magazine," John Henry Parker, Europe on account of ill health, announces that he is unable to give it the requisite degree of attention, and is willing to treat with a purchaser. The scanty musical literature of England has been much enriched lately by new publications, which show that an interest in the cultivation of the science is gradually increasing, and with it the number of purchasers for books on the subject. The publishers of the Globe edition of "Shakespeare's Complete Works," Macmillan & Co. announce that the sale has exceeded fifty thousand copies.
