Abstract
- The article explores the confusion over a series of papers published in October 2019 which recommend that adults continue their consumption of red and processed meat because they may have little or no effect on major cardiometabolic outcomes and cancer mortality and morbidity. Topics covered include difference between randomized trials and observational cohort studies in determining intervention effects and failure of the system used in the papers to consider well-tested criteria.
