Abstract
- The article examines the implication of drug-induced homicide for the criminal cases in populated rural areas. It discusses how the lack of government funding in rural areas affect the stability of their criminal legal systems. It examines the challenges commonly faced by rural areas when dealing with opioid abuse-related cases such as lack of attorneys, absence of intermediary courts as well as lower courts trials oversight.
