Abstract

We thank Ms Adams for the opportunity to clarify some misunderstandings within our manuscript and to further highlight the need for research examining relationships between pediatric obesity treatment and ED risk. The aim of this systematic review was to assess the change in ED risk following pediatric obesity treatment. From the 51 who developed an eating disorder during the study, 24 met the temporal sequencing pathway from dieting and/or negative affect to emergence of an eating disorder; this did not apply to all young people who developed an eating disorder. 5 De Giuseppe R, Di Napoli I, Porri D, Cena H.
