Abstract
- Language is defined as a set of rules governing discourse. The quest for professional cohesion in social work is frustrated by conflicts between three language systems: clinical, analytical, and ideological. The author proposes that the language of argumentation can point the way out of this rhetorical impasse. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
