Abstract

The aim of this study is to provide validity and reliability analysis of the flow experience scale and bring it to the literature. The data obtained from 281 university students and the KMO-Barlett test were performed and the sample size was tested (.84; 2052, 218, p <0.001) and then a 2 dimensional structure was obtained by the exploratory factor analysis. According to the exploratory factor analysis, the cut-off value was determined as .40, and the pool of questions consisting of 13 items was collected in two sub-dimensions. The factor analysis, which explained 51% of the total variance, yielded a correlation between .48 and .80. The internal consistency coefficient, which was .86 for the first sub-dimension, was determined as .70 for the second sub-dimension. Total internal consistency coefficient of the scale was found to be .78. Confirmatory factor analysis was performed to test the validity and validity of the structure obtained after exploratory factor analysis. It is observed that the DFA performed after the test retest constitutes evidence for the structure validity (RMSEA .083, SRMR 0.72, NFI 0.90, CFI 0.93, NNFI 0.91, x²/df 3.14).
