Abstract

Electromagnetic field analysis has a very important role in the design and performance analysis of electric machinery and apparatus. The analysis baa been conducted using many methods such as the difference equation method, the finite element method and the boundary element method. Currently, it is possible to take into account the effects of the nonlinearity of material characteristics and eddy current in analyzing the electromagnetic field of multimedium space with open boundary. The remarkable progress in computing speed and memory capacity of recent large-scale computers takes it possible to analyze not only the two-dimensional field but also the three-dimensional field.
