Abstract
- This paper aims to present the self-evaluation experiences reported by undergraduate English students at the Facultad de Contaduría y Ciencias Administrativas (FCCA) at Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. Learning English is a must in university education nowadays, but while some students are enthusiastic about it, others feel it as an overwhelming task. Nonetheless, the ESL class can provide an open space for students to learn how to evaluate themselves and how to continue learning the language on their own. As part of their business education, performance is a core concept for students at the FCCA, since it is a skill highly required in the business workplace. This study explores if students are able to recognize self-evaluation tools that they can use independently while it diagnoses how they measure their performance as students. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
