Abstract
- This article presents information regarding Greenland as summer tourist destination. The name of Greenland, albeit it implies the existence of meadows and pastures green, is in itself repellent-not a name that charms, like Chamounir, the Matterhorn, or the Riviera. In the popular mind, Greenland is a synonym for ice and icebergs, and little else, a journey thither is a journey to a region which offers only hardships of travel and the prospect of a non-return.
