Abstract
- Microstructural inhomogeneity of phase composition and grain structure of austenitic AISI 304-type stainless steel produced by wire-feed electron-beam additive manufacturing method was investigated in as-built specimens and specimens processed via post-built heat treatment at temperature 1050°C for 1 h (austenitization). It is established that post-built treatment decreases the volume fraction of δ-ferrite, changes its morphology and insufficiently increases grain size of 304-type stainless steel produced by wire-feed electron-beam additive manufacturing.
