Abstract
- In this article, the author shares her struggles to help children learn letter names and sounds as a reading intervention teacher. Topics discussed include need of identifying a problem of meaning in the teacher research process, teachers training on providing students with clear statements of intended learning outcomes in professional development sessions and the use of books such as Learning Targets: Helping Students Aim for Understanding in Today's Lesson.
