Abstract
- This article is based on a research that examined the experiences and challenges faced by women Palestinian community social workers, citizens of Israel. Fifteen semi-structured interviews were performed with community social workers, who define themselves as Palestinian women. The findings point to three central challenges that they face as part of their community work in Israel: professional, political and gender challenges. This research brings up the voices of the female Palestinian community social workers who practise community work in Israel. It contributes significantly to the academic knowledge of community work and to the research work about the practising of the profession by female Palestinian-Arabs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
