In another update, almost the first full account of the siege and battles of Santiago, Chile, from the Spanish point of view is to be found in a book "Combates y Capitulacion de Santiago de Cuba," published in Madrid, Spain, by a lieutenant in the Spanish navy, Don José Müller y Tejeiro.
