The article focuses on several aspects of fostering challenging learning experiences among students. Topics discussed include introducing Lev Vygotsky's concept of Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD); teaching students how to recognize and use resources like manipulatives including blocks, beans and counting bears; and time management tools like clock, individual agenda, timer and sand jar.
