Abstract

Bacteria, molds and even algae are commonly found in the environment. Under certain conditions, bacteria, yeasts, molds, algae grow on the façades of prefabricated panel apartment buildings. The article deals with the comparison of two different locations in Ostrava with respect to the occurrence of microbial attacks on the façades of residential prefabricated panel buildings. The first of the locations is adjacent to a high-frequency automobile traffic route and also close to the industrial zone in the lower Vítkovice area. The area is characterized by increased dustiness. (Moravian Ostrava). Both locations are equally evaluated with respect to the occurrence of microbial attacks and then compared. In contrast to the first location, the second locality is defined by a typical housing estate in a remote part of Ostrava, with a high level of vegetation and low automobile traffic (Poruba).
