Abstract
- Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting: Boosting Photoelectrochemical Water Oxidation of Hematite in Acidic Electrolytes by Surface State Modification (Adv. In article number 1901836, Joan Ramon Morante, Jordi Arbiol and co-workers find that modifying the hematite/electrolyte interface with ultrathin Fe SB 2 sb TiO SB 5 sb and CoFe PBA improves the photoelectrochemical water oxidation of hematite photoanodes in acidic electrolytes. The modified hematite/electrolyte interface alters the surface states at hematite photoanodes, and thus improves the surface water oxidation kinetics. [Extracted from the article]
