Abstract

In patients with ITP secondary to lymphoma, treatment with a TPO-RA could be a favourable therapeutic option for symptoms control, if ITP is not responsive to standard therapy. All patients obtained at least a response, thus suggesting that treatment with romiplostim could overcome a life-threatening ITP, eventually postpone splenectomy and/or limit the use of steroids in severely immune-compromised patients and reduce megakaryocyte lineage chemotherapy toxicity.
