Abstract
- The author comments on a study by D. H. Lee and colleagues on the link between mushroom intake and risk of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. He discusses the failure of the study to elaborate on any associations of mushrooms with other food, factors that might help reduce or control confounding, and the difficulty of estimating the power of a food-disease relationship when the underlying literature is sparse.
