This article reports that Courtney Love spent her 40th birthday bleeding in her apartment before being rushed to a hospital. The singer was taken to New York City's Bellevue Hospital after emergency workers, responding to an anonymous 911 call, found her irrational, distressed and bleeding in her SoHo apartment. Although the singer had recently hinted she was expecting, a source close to Love denies she was pregnant or had suffered a miscarriage. The same day, Love missed a court appearance in L.A., where she faces assault charges. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
