Abstract

The article presents information about various books on Science. In Volume II, part III, of his "Trees and Shrubs" professor Charles Sprague Sargent, director of the Arnold Arboretum, gives a full account of twenty-five new species of woody plants. "Yellow Fever and Its Prevention," by Rubert W. Boyce, is intended for the information and instruction of medical men who purpose undertaking professional work in tropical regions, more particularly in Africa. Frederic M. Halford's "Modern Development of the Dry Fly" is an elaborately illustrated volume on the scientific aspect of luring fresh-water trout with artiucial reproductions of insects.
