Abstract

A solid-state mechanochemical route for rapid synthesis of MgAl layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanosheets large in surface area and decorated with abundant hydroxyl groups was developed for catalytic elimination of carbonyl sulfide and H<subscript>2</subscript>S, showing activity superior to those of commercial LDHs and porous metal oxides.
