Analysis of Plaster Detachment and Experimental Determination of Plaster–Masonry Interface Shear Capacity.

This paper is devoted to numerical analysis of plaster detachment and numerical experiments for determination of the appropriate material parameters. Interaction between the plaster and masonry is described with the help of interface finite elements which are equipped with traction-displacement relationship. Laboratory tests were introduced in order to determine the shear capacity of the masonry-plaster connection. Unfortunately, variability of measured behaviour was very large and additional tests are needed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
