Abstract

The article discusses the causes of AA amyloidosis & end-stage kidney failure. Topics include, deposition of serum amyloid A protein as a consequence of chronic inflammation; juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are disorders associated with AA amyloidosis; & diagnosis of patient with hyperimmunoglobulinemia D syndrome (HIDS).
