Risorgimento History.

The article focuses on the decline of monarchial prestige in Italy. During that time, much important material concerning the struggle for independence was held back, but for some time, past the Italian presses have poured out an increasing stream of books on every episode and, one might almost say, on nearly every man and woman of the Risorgimento Documents have been edited; the correspondence and diaries of patriots and their adversaries have been published, recollections of eye-witnesses, or reports of stories their children heard them tell, ;have overflowed from the monthly and weekly magazines into Sunday supplements and the daily papers.
