Abstract

The article offers information on the Canine distemper virus (CDV) as the cause of most of the epizootics. Topics discussed include information on the understanding how the disease spreads in the Arctic environment and ecosystem; discussions on the role of the historical records in providing valuable input for understanding the Arctic epizootic; and the information on the health-related challenges that the Greenland sled dogs face.
