Abstract

Structural decoration on pottery is mostly applied during the process of making and preparation especially when the pottery piece is at leather hard stage. At this stage the clay is soft and can easily be cut, carved or engraved according to the desired designs. Gandi Umar Khan is a Bronze Age archaeological site, located near Dera Ismail Khan (Ali and Jan 2005). The collected pottery is mainly plain, but some pots and vessels having painted and structural designs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
