Effect of nano-silica filling on aging resistance of one-component silicone sealant.

Based on the high reflection of nano-silica to specific wavelength ultraviolet light,a one-component silicone sealant filled with nano-silica with different content and specific surface area is designed. The effects of different nano-silica on the appearance, tensile properties,hardness,surface dryness and extrudability of one-component silicone sealant were compared and tested. The internal changes of the material were analyzed by infrared and thermogravimetric analysis. The improvement of artificial aging resistance of one-component silicone sealant by using nano-silica was studied. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
