Abstract

The article presents some economic and political updates. It says that when the sixty-fifth U.S. Congress adjourned, on March 4, there was pending in that body a bill prohibiting immigration into the U.S. for four years. There is every reason for anticipating that an identical bill, or one with substantially equivalent provisions, will be introduced in the U.S. Senate or House when the new Congress convenes. What has been set going in the world is the idea of international organization, international action for the furtherance of world happiness and international comity and it is in the light of this over-shadowing idea that the question of immigration must be considered.
