Abstract

The article presents a study which examined the incidence and risk factors of herpes zoster (HZ) in the general U.S. population using data from the U.S. Military HIV Natural History Study (NHS). Topics discussed include comparison of participants with and without HZ, independent predictors of HZ, and factors associated with HZ in NHS participants who contributed follow-up time after 2001.
