Abstract

The article focuses on various developments around the world in 1926. In the case of the Countess of Cathcart the U.S. has touched bottom in its Pecksniffian policy of supervising the morals of private individuals, particularly those of visitors to this country; The second article focuses on a widespread and dramatic activity in corporation mergers. Free competition has seen its day, and over great and growing sections of our industrial life is dying, where it is not completely dead; The third article focuses on the negotiations begun by the new French Ambassador for the settlement of his Government's debt.
