Abstract
- This article presents information on the death of Michael O'Callaghan, ex-Mayor of Limerick. The author demanded public inquiry into the death of Michael O'Callaghan and was assured that the military authorities desired to have everything open and as public as possible. However, newspaper reports state that a cordon of military surrounded the Courthouse where the hearing regarding the case was going on and that the adjacent streets and the grounds of the adjoining Protestant Cathedral were held by armed troops and that no members of the general public were allowed to enter, or even to approach, the building unless provided with special permits from the military authorities.
