Abstract
- This article presents information on the book " Arrowsmith," by Sinclair Lewis. It might have been reasonably objected against Sinclair Lewis that in his two pictures of mediocrity triumphant he failed to recognize one important fact. In spite of all the optimism which lay behind his satires he made his heroes succumb with surprising ease to the dullness which surrounded them, and he seemed never to be aware of that almost magical sureness with which something boin in the natural artist or in the natural scientist enables him to seek and find the best in most unlikely places.
