Case analysis of individualized medication of voriconazole directed by therapeutic drug monitoring.

Abstract

Objective: To explore pharmaceutical care by clinical pharmacists in the individualized treatment with voriconazole, so as to provide reference for rational use of drugs. Methods: Through analysis of the treatment of 3 cases by voriconazole, the clinical thinking of clinical pharmacists involved in drug treatment was clearly elucidated, and the entry point of pharmaceutical care was analyzed. Results; Based on the results of therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM ), clinical pharmacists proposed proper adjustment in the voriconazole treatment profile, and as a result, clinical efficacy was improved, the rate of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) was reduced, and more importantly medication safety was well ensured. Conclusion; TDM is a powerful tool for active involvement of clinical pharmacists in the individualized treatment with voriconazole, and its proper application could improve clinical efficacy and drug safety.
