Abstract
- The article discusses short profile of Angelika Amon, winner of the 2019 Vilcek Prize in Biomedical Science Jan Vilceka. Topics discussed include her passion for cell biology and opportunity to launch her own laboratory. She has brought the balletic process by which cells bequeath genetic material to offspring; and her work has revealed how missteps in the process result in outcomes such as cancer.
