Abstract: The article discusses the efficacy and safety of desentisitizing agents such as efficacy of glutaraldehyde-containing gluma desensitizer and chitosan hydrogel on dentine hypersensitivity. It highlights the use of chitosan for dental applications with bone regeneration & bio-adhesive properties. It also cites the prevalence of dentine hypersensitivity in older adults.
