Abstract
- The article discusses that Crispr could make the food supply more efficient and more humane but it's struggling to get out of the lab and onto the plates. Topics include animal geneticist Alison Van Eenennaam's attempt to create a strain of gene-edited cattle specially suited to the needs of the beef industry, and one of his goals is to make the raising of livestock not only more efficient but also more humane.
