Abstract
- The article presents an effect of a blast wave on the replacement light armoured wheeled vehicle. The aim of these activities is to verify the application of additional outer protection structure on reduction of the floor plate deformation resulting from detonation of explosive material under the vehicle. During the tests, explosive charge is located under the vehicle, according to STANAG 4569 requirements. In order to test the effectiveness of the proposed structural solution, there were carried out numerical calculations with the use of a finite element method with ALE approach. It allowed for reflection of such processes as detonation, wave propagation, interaction with a structure and response of the additional system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
