Abstract
- The article focuses on author Friedrich Wilhelm Zachariä and his comic heroes epic "The Renommiste," which he wrote at the age of 18 years. Zachariä was a law student at the University of Leipzig since 1743, and he was the youngest in a circle of young students and graduates of the university. "The Renommiste" appeared in the first fiction journal of Germany, which was published from 1741-1745 in eight semi-annual volumes.
