Abstract
- The article explores the intersection of economic exploitation and patriarchal oppression in the context of the 2005 reforms to the U.S. Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA). Topics covered include bankruptcy's macroeconomic function, cultural examples of how feminized consumer identity has taken shape, and challenged to the alleged benefits of the child support prioritization for women.
