Abstract
- The article critiques the English epic poem "The Faerie Queene" by Edmund Spenser. Topics discussed include the role of the Saracen figures in the organization and structure of Spenser's narrative, the literary representation of Muslims, and how Spenser borrowed the closing lines in Virgil's poem "Aeneid" for the scenes of conflict with Saracens.
