- Presents a historical perspective of the pioneering efforts of the inventors and companies in creating decorative concrete flatwork products. Success of L.M. Scofield Co.'s Lynne Scofield in consistently batching and bonding color particles with concrete creating color hardeners in 1915; Attribution of decorative concreting to Brad Bowman due to his invention of stamping tools for patterning and texturing concrete in 1950; Citation of Gilbert Stanley's use of chemical stains in concrete flatwork in 1927; Credit for overlay products in decorative cement work to John Crossfield in 1938.
