Abstract
- Before arriving in Israel in the 1950s, Iranian Jews were exposed to a process of selection that created socio‐cultural divisions among its members. Zionist visions clashed with the socio‐political conditions of both Iranian Jews and Israeli emissaries. This had already started in Iran with the organization of the Iranian Jews' emigration in the 1950s. This article analyzes how political, cultural, and socio‐economic factors profoundly affected the emigration of Iranian Jews to Israel in this period. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
