ПРАВОСЛАВ’Я В КОНТЕКСТІ СУЧАСНОСТІ.

The article analyzes the reasons for actualization of anthropological problems in modern Orthodox theology. The purpose of the article is to reconstruct the methodological foundations of the Orthodox doctrine about person, as well as their deployment in modern times. The conclusions can be formulated as follows: despite the aspirations of theologians in their structures to conform to the spirit of time, the subject of Orthodox anthropology continues to remain not so much a real person as a man of mystical and divine experience, in light of which anthropology is a purely applied aspect of Christology, Soteriology and Trinitarian theology. In this way, the logic of «modernization» of the Orthodox thought is outlined, which in general should be characterized as a neo–patristic synthesis: the ground for describing the facts are tools and methods used since the times of the church’s fathers, and the consideration of anthropological problems of the present day is carried out taking into account dogmatic grounds; the key task of the Orthodox thinkers is determined by the search for adequate, in the first place – the traditions, means of conceptual understanding of the existing theological experience.
